One of my new favorite things is using push pops for desserts. You can easily buy these at a craft store and your guests will go absolutely nuts! Try using these for cupcakes, cakes, pies, or trifles. Enjoy!
Jacquie and Alan are hands down one of my favorite clients to work for. They are so generous and loving and really I consider them to be dear friends. This event was for Alan’s work dinner and we did a “Taste of Pasadena” theme. The food was heavily influenced by some of our combined favorite food options the city of Pasadena has to offer.
This was one of my favorite tables I have done in awhile and loved the orange and green colors. For floral arrangements we stuck with an orange and green palate and I incorporated fresh herbs into the floral arrangements to add a little rustic Italian Al Fresco dining experience. Jacquie has a huge collection of Glassybabies (which I am quite envious of) so every time we work together I love to incorporate those on the table as well. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I do!
Guest Favor: A hand painted canvas of a famous spot in Pasadena.
Arugula Salad with Shaved Fennel, Shaved Green Apple, Young Italian Pecorino Cheese and Candied Pecans with White Balsamic Dressing.
Italian Style Red Wine Braised Short Ribs with Mascarpone Polenta, Roasted Carrots, Pearl Onions and Mint Gremolita.
Raspberry Lemon Tiramisu with a Salted Caramel and Clementine Gelato
This Caribbean style, budget friendly wedding was so fun to plan! I have known the bride for a couple years now and she is one of the sweetest people I know. I was honored to plan and cater her wedding. Here is what we did for the reception.
We did a drink bar with Tropical Fruit Punch, Mango Iced Tea, Mango Spritzer, Palomas, and a Citrus Mint Water. Each guest was given a mason jar for the night which was also their favor.
For food we did a heavy appetizer buffet with BBQ Pork Sliders, Coconut Cilantro Rice, Coleslaw, Fresh Fruit, Vegetables, Cheese and Crackers.
And lastly for dessert we did a one tiered Chocolate Cake with Banana Pudding and Coconut Macadamia Nut Buttercream, Mini Pineapple Upside Down Cake Cupcakes and Mini Chocolate Coconut Cupcakes.
Kim and Cale are such a great couple and I was so excited to plan their wedding. The wedding and reception was held in her parents backyard and all done on a budget. My dear friend Lisa did all the floral arrangements and did an incredible job. She is so talented and creative and I wanted to showcase her amazing work! Enjoy the pictures.
