Restaurant Review: Plum’s

Plum’s Cafe is located in Costa Mesa and is one of my favorite breakfast spots.  Typically they are famous for their breakfast, but now are open for dinner.  Breakfast is still my preference to enjoy the spinach and feta cheese omelet and the raspberry pancakes with vanilla cream.  Their scones are also to die for offering flavors such as boysenberry, lemon poppyseed and maple.  There most popular item is their dutch baby which is a deep dish pancake skillet.  My boyfriend and I usually share and enjoy every last bite!

Next time you are looking for a great breakfast spot, check out Plum’s Cafe!

Restaurant Review

I wanted to add a restaurant review portion to the blog because I always have people asking me what my restaurant opinion.  One of my favorite restaurants in Laguna is 230 Forest Avenue, which I will do a review on one of these days.  A couple of years ago they opened up a sister property called Watermark.  It is a great restaurant for tapas style plates to share.  Here is what I would recommend getting while dining there.

Try their grazing plates.  You can share with another person and they are delicious.  My favorites are the warm blue cheese pear tart and the flatbreads.

The cedar planked salmon is a great main dish

or the grilled swordfish with orange butter
My favorite is the sea bass with lentils
Watermark is a contemporary and chic place to get a drink with friends or have a romantic meal with your special someone.  Try it and let me know what you think!
