Megan Hensley started Plate It Up by Meg in 2008 in order to help busy families sit down at the dinner table and have a healthy balanced meal together. The business soon grew into a variety of different services such as cooking classes, catering, gift services, and party planning.
Meg feels blessed with the ability to cook and serve others in her community with a great passion and love for food. She feels that cooking and healthy eating can be a healing source. Her ultimate goal is to use her culinary expertise to relieve the stress of every day life and serve her clients creative and healthy meals.
While majoring in Hospitality and Tourism Management at San Diego State University, Meg was able to further develop her passion for food by completing a culinary internship at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego. She then went abroad to study at the prestigious Apicius Culinary Institute of Florence, Italy. By combining her passions for food and healthy living Meg provides innovative solutions to your culinary needs, whether simple or gourmet.
